meets each Wednesday Evening 6:30 PM-8:00 PM, in Port Orchard at the Port Orchard Active Club behind Givens Community Center 1025 Tacoma Ave. Rm. #2
Each meeting begins with a private weigh-in and then motivational meeting topic from community guest speakers to recipe and exercise tips.
Join other adults and teens for fun/friendship and laughter as you take off and keep off pounds in a sensible way!

Event: Advancements in Joint Replacement

Details: Come hear leading orthopedic surgeon John Jiganti, MD, talk about the latest developments in joint replacement including advances in implants and minimally invasive approaches to surgery. Dr. Jiganti will be showing some of the newest implants available and will available for questions following his presentation.
Come and learn more about joint replacement and some of the latest advancements which make the expereince less painful with a faster recovery and better outcomes.

Event: Stress Management Class

Time: 6:00 PM-7:30 PM
Details: Learn specific techniques to help you take charge of the stress in your life, including Progressive Relaxation, Imagery, Meditation, Breathing Exercises, Thought-Stopping, Refuting Irrational Ideas, Coping Skills, and more.  Appropriate for adults of all ages.  The class will meet once a week for 6 weeks on Tuesdays 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at a location in Port Orchard to be disclosed at the time of registration.  Cost is $30.00 per session or $180.00 for the series. (Fees may be covered by insurance. Sliding fee scale is also available.) Deadline to register is January 18th.
